Dr Lorraine Pereira, BSc (nutrition)(Hons 1), MBBS, MMed(Clin Epi), MSc(Endocrinology and Diabetes), FRACP, Endocrinologist
Dr Lorraine Pereira consults weekly both in person and via telehealth. She has clinical expertise in managing general endocrinology including diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, thyroid, pituitary and adrenal disorders. She has a special interest in osteoporosis and metabolic bone disorders, gestational diabetes, thyroid disease in pregnancy and obesity.
Dr Pereira is committed to research, teaching and ongoing learning. She has undertaken research in metabolic bone disorders at the Garvan Institute. Patients must be 17 years or older.
Dr Shamani Mendis, BMed(Sci), MBBS, FRACP, Endocrinologist
Dr Shamani Mendis is a clinical endocrinologist who is dedicated to providing evidence based comprehensive care in a personalised and compassionate manner. Her practice includes all aspects of diabetes, gestational diabetes, general endocrinology and weight management. She has a special interest in the monitoring and management of diabetes and osteoporosis in view of preventing long-term complications.
Dr Mendis completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with Honours at Sydney University. After completing her endocrinology training at Concord and Liverpool Hospitals, she obtained fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2017. Shamani is published in the area of Osteoporosis and has been actively involved in teaching and clinical research.
Dr Mendis is an understanding endocrinologist with significant clinical experience. She is committed to her patients and will work alongside their general practitioner to ensure the best possible health outcomes. She consults in person one day per month.
Dr Cellina Ching, MBBS, FRACP, Endocrinologist
Dr Cellina Ching is a passionate and patient-focused endocrinologist dedicated to providing comprehensive care in diabetes and endocrinology with special interest in diabetes, women’s health, endocrinology in pregnancy, adrenal and pituitary disorders.
In addition to completing her undergraduate medical training in Western Sydney, she completed physician training in two of Sydney’s largest tertiary hospitals, Westmead and Liverpool Hospital and has a Masters of Philosophy by research in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus.
With a commitment to staying at the forefront of medical advancements, she strives to deliver personalized treatment plans that optimize patient health and well-being.
